About Us

Our story began with a simple yet powerful belief: that running has the potential to transform lives. Fuelled by a vision of empowerment and renewal, Off The Street On Our Feet emerged as a beacon of hope for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness and recovering addicts. Recognising the transformative impact of marathon training, we embarked on a mission to create a community where health, wellbeing and resilience converge.

In pursuit of this vision, we witnessed the birth of an incredible team of rough sleepers dedicated to running marathons and raising funds for homelessness services. Founded by Mathew Broster, our team's journey started with the triumphant completion of the Gold Coast Half Marathon on July 1, 2023. Our determination and resilience propelled us forward, reaching finish lines at the Sunshine Coast, Coffs Harbour, Sydney and the Chinny Charge in Mullumbimby.

Our story isn't just about crossing physical finish lines - it's about surpassing personal barriers and redefining possibilities. With each race conquered, we’ve not only run for ourselves but also for a greater cause, advocating for change and supporting vital homelessness services.

Our story is etched in our team’s triumphs, echoing the resilience and determination of those who've faced homelessness. It's about unlocking potential, igniting confidence and nurturing a sense of accomplishment. Through our team’s strides, our collective pursuit of empowerment continues, weaving a narrative of transformation - one where every step brings us closer to a healthier, more empowered future. Join us in empowering change and be a part of our inspiring journey!
